Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What do you get only here?

A combination that you rarely find at other language institutions:

  • Native speaker with an academic background. As a Germanist and native speaker, Noemi Paul combines language sensitivity, intuition, and academic knowledge. In many other courses, you work with non-native speakers as teachers.
  • Immediately available. You do not have to wait. At other institutions, they often only start looking for a suitable teacher after you have registered.
  • Business experience on both sides of the border. Years of entrepreneurial experience in both the Netherlands and Germany makes the difference — you not only learn the language but also how to present yourself in a business context in Germany.
  • Modern online course environment. You work with an up-to-date multimedia learning environment that provides an overview and tracks progress. At many other institutions, the teaching material consists of loose documents or hybrid meetings without structure.
  • Fully customized. No standard lesson plan. The program is completely tailored to your field, level, and goals.
  • Premium positioning training. Language coaching and business positioning in one — provided by an academically qualified teacher. At other institutions, you often learn correct German, but not how to profile yourself in business and come across convincingly in the German market.

Who are your courses intended for?

For Dutch professionals, entrepreneurs, and managers who use or want to use German in their work — from meetings and emails to customer contact, presentations, and negotiations. All levels are welcome, from A2 to C2. Also very suitable for those who are retiring early, developing new business interests, or are in a special life phase, such as a burnout, leave, or sabbatical. Some work experience is an advantage.

What makes your approach different from a regular language course?

I combine language coaching with business and cultural insight at the MBA level. You will learn not only correct German but also how you come across — in tone, style, and the nuances that determine how German business partners perceive you.

What if I don't speak a single word of German or have never had German in school?

You start with a preparatory course at level A1, where the foundation is laid. At this level, it is still too early for subject-specific terminology or business situations. We consciously do not offer isolated A1 courses — but those who enroll directly for a longer course starting from A2 can follow the A1/A2 combination with us. For the A1 part, you will work with a specialized colleague-teacher. We will arrange that for you.

How long does it take before I speak good German?

On average, after one to two courses — provided you also complete the homework well — you will advance one level. Within four to six months, you will achieve a very clearly measurable progress. With punch cards, this typically takes a bit longer due to the more flexible scheduling.

From level B2, you speak German very well. Such language proficiency is achievable within a year with weekly lessons and consistent homework if you start at A2 — even when considering longer holiday periods or breaks. This is a realistic picture. But even with a shorter course, you can achieve significant improvements.

What does a journey cost?

The prices take into account different budgets. For beginners, there are the First ride cards, ranging from €750 to €1,200. For more in-depth programs, there are the course programs and Premium ride cards. The Premium ride cards vary between €1,900 and €2,800, and the courses range from €2,100 to €3,500, depending on the intensity of the guidance. All prices are exclusive of VAT. View the full offer on the routes page.

Will my payment be deducted immediately?

No. The payment at checkout is solely a reservation. We always first make personal contact with you before the payment is processed. No amount will ever be deducted without you having spoken to us.

What routes do you offer?

You can choose from fixed course programs of 10, 12, or 16 weeks, or from Premium punch cards (10 or 12 sessions) for maximum flexibility. For beginners, there are also shorter paths of 6 to 9 sessions (First punch cards), which are particularly recommended when you have a training budget or when you want to explore at a relaxed pace. All sessions are 1-on-1 and fully customized.

What happens after checkout?

After the purchase, you will gain access to a personal course platform where all the course materials are organized clearly — including audio, video links, and presentations. The content is released gradually through drip content, matching your progress in the program.

How long does my journey take?

The duration is mentioned on the relevant product page, where you can often choose between different options at the top. Most course programs last at least 10 weeks. With punch cards, you largely determine the duration yourself — it depends on the frequency of your participation and sometimes on the results of interim tests, which we use to check whether the material has been well understood. The shortest path is the First punch card with 6 sessions; the longest is the course with 16 weeks.

What is the trial lesson?

An introductory lesson of 50 minutes, fully tailored to your situation and level. Ideal if you want to experience how the coaching works before booking a program.

Can I also choose a free introduction?

Yes. Through the website, you can schedule a free 15-minute conversation. This way, we can discover together if there is a match.

Are the lessons online or in-person/on location?

The sessions take place online, so you can start and schedule flexibly — regardless of your location or agenda. We work via Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet. In exceptional cases, a session via WhatsApp or phone is also possible.

How flexible is the planning?

Very flexible. You start when it suits you, taking into account the lesson-free days. Ride cards are valid for one year. Lessons can be canceled up to 48 hours in advance. For courses, there is also a maximum of three last-minute reschedules, up to 15 minutes before the start.

Can I take a break or go on vacation in between?

Yes, that is certainly possible in consultation. With ride cards, you have a year to use them and complete flexibility. For courses, all lessons must be taken within the agreed period, with the possibility of extension at the end. Interruptions of three weeks or longer are not advisable for educational reasons — the continuity of the learning process is important for a good result.

Is there homework?

Yes, a minimum investment of 20 minutes per week is recommended — preferably more. The preference is for daily short exercises of 5 to 10 minutes instead of large blocks. Small, regular repetition has been shown to work better for language acquisition.

For which sectors do you have specific programs?

Among others for executives of internationals, architects, engineers and construction professionals, technical professions, health and wellness, hospitality, innovation, marketing and luxury, SMEs and sales, and executive/personal development. Other sectors are also possible — the program is always tailored to your field.

Are all courses taught by you?

Most sessions are personally conducted by me. For beginner level (A1), I work together with a specialized colleague. Depending on your path and preferences, other experienced teachers can also be involved — for example, if you prefer a male teacher.

Can I also book a course as a private individual?

Absolutely. Both individuals and businesses are warmly welcome. A professional background is a requirement — however, you do not need to be currently employed. For this target group, we have specifically developed the program Next Chapter | Personal Development, which can also be booked as a ride card.

Is group lesson possible?

That depends on the group size and the desired program. If interested, we would be happy to make a customized individual offer. Please contact us for the possibilities.

Are there also on-site training sessions?

Online is preferred because it offers maximum flexibility for both parties. In small groups or when the content of the training requires a confidential setting, an on-site training can be meaningful. Contact us for the possibilities.

What payment options are available?

You can pay using all common methods available through our webshop, including iDEAL, credit card, and installment payment via Klarna. At checkout, you will see all current options. If you want to reserve now but your desired start date is still in the future, choose installment payment.

Are the prices inclusive of VAT?

The prices shown are exclusive of VAT. For individuals, 21% VAT is added on top. Businesses can usually reclaim the VAT. In the final step of the checkout, the VAT is automatically added and also mentioned on the invoice. If you are ordering on behalf of a business, please ensure that all relevant company details are correctly entered into the system.

Can I cancel the purchase if I change my mind?

Yes, that is possible. Dutch law does not provide a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days for businesses — this only applies to individuals. However, we also offer this to businesses. Within 14 days after the completed purchase, you can withdraw your order via our contact page. If any lessons have already taken place, these will be charged.

Is there a certificate?

Our programs are not accredited exam courses, but we can prepare you for external language proficiency certificates, such as the exams from the Goethe-Institut. These take place in the Netherlands on various dates throughout the year. Whether exam preparation is relevant for you will be discussed during the introductory meeting.
